Walk by the Spirit

Hi, Friend!

Let the Jesus guide your steps, not old habits. You are not alone in this walk. The Holy Spirit guides, strengthens, and empowers you every step.

Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

A Psalm of Praise and Thanks

Psalm 144

Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving devotion and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.

O LORD, what is man that You care for him, the son of man that You think of him? Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.

Part Your heavens, O LORD, and come down; touch the mountains, so that they smoke. Flash forth lightning and scatter them; shoot Your arrows and rout them.

Reach down Your hand from on high; deliver me and rescue me from the deep waters, from the hand of foreigners whose mouths speak falsehood, whose right hands are deceitful.

I will sing a new song to You, O God; on a ten-stringed harp I will make music to You—to Him who gives victory to kings, who delivers His servant David from the deadly sword.

Deliver me and rescue me from the hand of foreigners whose mouths speak falsehood, whose right hands are deceitful.

Then our sons will be like well-watered plants in their youth, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace. Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision; our sheep will increase by thousands, ten thousands in our pastures.

Our oxen will be well-fed; there will be no breach in the walls, no going into captivity, and no cry of distress in our streets. Blessed are the people of whom this is true; blessed are the people whose God is the LORD.
A Psalm for Mercy and Help

Psalm 5

Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my groaning. Attend to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I pray.

In the morning, O LORD, You hear my voice; at daybreak I lay my plea before You and wait in expectation. For You are not a God who delights in wickedness; no evil can dwell with You.

The boastful cannot stand in Your presence; You hate all workers of iniquity. You destroy those who tell lies; the LORD abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.

But I will enter Your house by the abundance of Your loving devotion; in reverence I will bow down toward Your holy temple. Lead me, O LORD, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make straight Your way before me.

For not a word they speak can be trusted; destruction lies within them. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.

Declare them guilty, O God; let them fall by their own devices. Drive them out for their many transgressions, for they have rebelled against You.

But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them ever shout for joy. May You shelter them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.

For surely You, O LORD, bless the righteous; You surround them with the shield of Your favor.
Brief Prayer

Lord, lead me by Your Spirit in every step I take.
Help me resist the desires of the flesh that pull me away from You.

Teach me to listen for Your voice in the still moments.
Fill me with wisdom and discernment that only You provide.

Guide my words, thoughts, and actions to honor You.
Keep me sensitive to Your prompting and quick to obey.

Let my life reflect the fruit of walking closely with You.
Amen.
