God calls us to remain steady—not in our own strength, but in His unshakable truth. When fear whispers and trials come, faith reminds us that we are not alone. Our foundation is Christ, and in Him, we can stand firm no matter what storms may rise.
Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
A Psalm of Praise and Thanks
Psalm 124
then they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us; then the waters would have engulfed us, and the torrent would have swept over our soul.
Then the raging waters would have swept over our soul.” Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as prey to their teeth.
Our soul has escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
A Psalm for Mercy and Help
Psalm 71
Be my rock of refuge, where I can always go; give the command to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress. Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the evil and ruthless.
For You are my hope, O Lord GOD, my confidence since my youth. From birth I have leaned on You; You are He who took me from my mother’s womb. My praise is always of You.
I have become a portent to many, but You are my strong refuge. My mouth is filled with Your praise and with Your glory all day long.
Do not cast me away in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails. For my enemies speak against me; those who lie in wait for my life consult together.
They say, “God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is no one to rescue him.” O God, be not far from me; O my God, hurry to help me.
May my accusers be consumed with shame; may those who seek my harm be covered with scorn and disgrace. But I will always hope and will praise You more and more.
My mouth will declare Your righteousness and Your salvation all day long, though I do not know their full measure. I will come in the might of the Lord GOD; I will proclaim Your righteousness—Yours alone.
O God, You have taught me from my youth, and to this day I proclaim Your wondrous works. Even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim Your power to the next generation, Your might to all who are to come.
Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the heavens; You who have done great things, O God, who is like You? Though You have made me see many troubles and misfortunes, You will revive me again; from the depths of the earth You will bring me up again.
You will increase my honor and comfort me once again. Then I will praise You with the harp for Your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praises to You with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to You—my soul, which You have redeemed. My tongue will proclaim Your righteousness all day long, for those who sought my harm have been shamed and confounded.
Brief Prayer
Lord, strengthen my faith to remain unshaken in every trial.
Help me to hold fast to Your Word when doubts arise.
Keep me rooted deeply in Christ, my solid foundation.
Teach me to stand firm when the enemy attacks.
Fill me with courage to persevere in every season.
Let my faith be a light to those who are struggling.
Keep me steadfast until the day I see You face to face.
Amen.
