Renew Your Spirit Daily

Hi, Friend!

Each day is a new invitation to pause, seek God’s presence, and let His Word refresh your soul. No matter what yesterday held, today is a chance to be renewed by His grace, guided by His truth, and strengthened by His love.

Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

A Psalm of Praise and Thanks

Psalm 9

I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart; I will recount all Your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.

When my enemies retreat, they stumble and perish before You. For You have upheld my just cause; You sat on Your throne as a righteous judge.

You have rebuked the nations; You have destroyed the wicked; You have erased their name forever and ever. The enemy has come to eternal ruin; You have uprooted their cities, and the very memory of them has perished.

But the LORD sits enthroned forever; He has established His throne for judgment. He judges the world with righteousness; He executes judgment on the nations with fairness.

The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion; proclaim His deeds among the nations. For He who avenges blood remembers; He does not ignore the cry of the afflicted.

Be merciful to me, O LORD. See my affliction from those who hate me, You who snatch me from the gates of death, that I may declare all Your praises—that within the gates of the Daughter of Zion I may rejoice in Your salvation.

The nations have fallen into the pit they dug; their feet are caught in the net they hid. The LORD is known by the justice He brings; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands. Higgaion. Selah

The wicked will return to Sheol—all the nations that forget God. For the needy will not always be forgotten; nor the hope of the oppressed forever perish.

Arise, O LORD, do not let man prevail; let the nations be judged in Your presence. Strike them with terror, O LORD; let the nations know they are only men. Selah
A Psalm for Mercy and Help

Psalm 51

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your loving devotion; according to Your great compassion, blot out my transgressions. Wash me clean of my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You may be proved right when You speak and blameless when You judge.

Surely I was brought forth in iniquity; I was sinful when my mother conceived me. Surely You desire truth in the inmost being; You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.

Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones You have crushed rejoice.

Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit.

Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will return to You. Deliver me from bloodguilt, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing of Your righteousness.

O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise. For You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; You take no pleasure in burnt offerings.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. In Your good pleasure, cause Zion to prosper; build up the walls of Jerusalem.

Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices, in whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on Your altar.
