Be Still and Know

Hi, Friend!

You don’t have to rush. Just pause and rest in His presence. You don’t have to strive today. Just be still. Let God speak, carry, and calm you.

Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

A Psalm of Praise and Thanks

Psalm 46

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth is transformed and the mountains are toppled into the depths of the seas, though their waters roar and foam and the mountains quake in the surge. Selah.

There is a river whose streams delight the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her; she will not be moved.

God will help her when morning dawns. Nations rage, kingdoms crumble; the earth melts when He lifts His voice.

The LORD of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah.

Come, see the works of the LORD, who brings devastation upon the earth. He makes wars to cease throughout the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the shields in the fire.

“Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted over the earth.”

The LORD of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah.
A Psalm for Mercy and Help

Psalm 141

I call upon You, O LORD; come quickly to me. Hear my voice when I call to You.

May my prayer be set before You like incense; my uplifted hands, like the evening offering.

Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.

Do not let my heart be drawn to any evil thing or take part in works of wickedness with men who do iniquity; let me not feast on their delicacies.

Let the righteous man strike me; let his rebuke be an act of loving devotion. It is oil for my head; let me not refuse it.

For my prayer is ever against the deeds of the wicked. When their rulers are thrown down from the cliffs, the people will listen to my words, for they are pleasant.

As when one plows and breaks up the soil, so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of Sheol.

But my eyes are fixed on You, O GOD the Lord. In You I seek refuge; do not leave my soul defenseless.

Keep me from the snares they have laid for me, and from the lures of evildoers.

Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by in safety.
Brief Prayer

Lord, in a noisy world, teach me to rest in You.
Quiet my anxious thoughts and silence my fears.

Remind me that stillness is not weakness but trust in Your power.
Help me to pause and recognize that You are God over all things.

Let Your presence steady my heart when life feels uncertain.
Fill me with peace that surpasses understanding & draw me near to the calm waters of Your Spirit.
Amen
