Romans 8:24-25

For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he can already see? But if we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it patiently.
A man in a checked shirt praying in a church, hands clasped together.

Lord Jesus, I am so impatient. I want to see the answers to my prayers immediately, and when I can’t see progress, I grow discouraged and bitter. Teach me the beauty of patient waiting. Remind me that true spiritual hope looks beyond what is visible to the eternal realities You are preparing for me. Quiet my restless heart today, and help me to wait with quiet confidence and patient faith for Your perfect timing. Amen.
