Sovereign Lord, my hands are constantly reaching to fix things that are completely out of my control. I exhaust myself trying to direct people, prevent disasters, and manage outcomes. Forgive my arrogant need to sit on Your throne. Today, I hear Your tender command to be still. I drop my hands and stop my frantic striving. I quiet my noisy mind and acknowledge that You alone are God, not me. Take Your rightful place in my circumstances today, and let my anxious heart find true peace in Your absolute sovereignty over all creation. Amen.
