Proverbs 30:5

"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him." (KJV)
A man in a checked shirt praying in a church, hands clasped together.

Holy Father, the opinions of this world constantly change, and the voices in my own head are often deceptive, but Your Word remains the only absolute truth. Forgive me for seeking validation and protection in temporary places. Today, I choose to hide behind Your truth. Be my active shield as I go about my tasks. I am letting go of my need to defend myself, content to simply take refuge in Your unshakeable character. Amen.
