My Lord, I like to have my life mapped out months in advance, and I feel deeply uncomfortable when I cannot see where tomorrow’s supply will come from. But You teach me to pray simply for daily bread. Forgive my need to hoard security. Give me just enough strength, just enough wisdom, and just enough provision for these next twenty-four hours. Help me to trust that when tomorrow comes, You will be there with a fresh supply of mercy. Amen.
Matthew 6:11
Give us this day our daily bread.
