Lord Jesus, I admit that I often try to quench my soul’s thirst with things that leave me empty. I look for satisfaction in work, in people, or in my own achievements, yet I remain dry. Today, I come to You for the Living Water. Thank You that Your grace is a fountain, not a stagnant pool. Let Your life spring up within me today, refreshing my weary heart and giving me a peace that the world cannot take away. Amen.

But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life.
