Lord Jesus, my emotions shift with the wind, and my thoughts are so easily tossed around by bad news or unexpected stress. I confess that I often anchor my soul to my circumstances instead of to You. Thank You for giving me a hope that is firm and secure—one that doesn’t depend on this world. When my mind starts to drift into panic today, drop Your anchor deep into my heart. Remind me that my life is secured behind the veil by Your finished work. Amen.
