The excitement of the first days always fades. Prayer starts to feel ordinary. The old temptations come back — sometimes louder than before.

And a quiet, frightening question begins to form: What happened? Did I lose what God gave me?

Here is what that feeling does not mean: it does not mean God has moved. It means you have moved from the doorway into the house. The journey has begun — and He is still right behind you.
