Psalm 57:7

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.

God, David prayed these words while hiding in a dark cave, yet his heart remained resolved to praise You. Forgive me for letting small discomforts steal my worship and my joy. I choose today to fix my heart on You, regardless of how dark my immediate surroundings feel. Put a new song of praise in my mouth. Let my steadfast trust in Your goodness be a light that cuts through the shadows of my current trial. Amen.
