Direct my footsteps according to Your word; let no sin rule over me.

Lord God, I feel the heavy pull of old habits and familiar temptations today. I am easily tripped up by a critical tongue, a lazy spirit, or an anxious mind. I don’t want sin to have dominion over my day. Order my steps, Lord. Let Your Holy Spirit take control of my feet before I walk into trouble. Anchor my mind so securely in Your truth that the empty promises of temptation lose their power over me. Amen.
