Father, left to my own devices, my heart naturally wanders into paths of selfishness, defensiveness, and bitter thoughts. I cannot make myself righteous through sheer willpower. Thank You for being a Shepherd who actively guides me. Nudge me away from the paths that lead to destruction today. Let my choices and reactions be a reflection of Your character, bringing honor to Your name rather than my own ego. Amen.
