Lord Jesus, as I open the door to this new week, the rush and noise of Monday are already demanding my attention. I feel the pressure to be busy, to compare myself to others, and to join the frantic pace of the world. Instead, I make it my deliberate ambition today to study to be quiet. Help me to mind my own path, to do my work faithfully with a glad heart, and to carry a still spirit into every conversation. Be my quiet center all week long. Amen.
