Sovereign Lord, I spent so much of my life chasing a false peace through comfortable circumstances, yet it always left me anxious. I thank You today that true peace is the direct work of Your righteousness, given to me at the cross. Because I am justified by faith, I can step into a life marked by permanent quietness and deep assurance. Stop my anxious striving today and let me live out of the secure, eternal anchor of Your grace. Amen.
