Lord, I confess that I often set my own worries and my own failures before me instead of You. I talk of faith, yet I am easily shaken by the smallest discomfort or the lightest cross. My heart is quick to move toward bitterness when things don’t go my way. Forgive my wavering spirit. Today, I consciously choose to place You at my right hand. I am not steady because I am strong, but because You are immovable. Hold my hand, Lord, and help me to stay fixed on You so that I will not be moved by my own changing emotions. Amen.
