God’s Strength Is Made Perfect in Weakness

Hi, Friend!

Chaos may rage, but peace is yours through Christ. When you feel weak, God’s strength shines brightest in and through you.

Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

A Psalm of Praise and Thanks

Psalm 33

Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him.

Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to Him with a ten-stringed lyre.

Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy.

For the word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is done in faithfulness.

He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the loving devotion of the LORD.

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and all the stars by the breath of His mouth.

He gathers the waters of the sea into a heap; He puts the depths into storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm.

The LORD frustrates the plans of the nations; He thwarts the devices of the peoples.

The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the purposes of His heart to all generations.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His inheritance!

The LORD looks down from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.

From His dwelling place He watches all who live on the earth—

He who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.

No king is saved by his vast army; no warrior is delivered by his great strength.

A horse is a false hope for victory; its great strength cannot save.

But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His loving devotion,

to deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.

Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.

For our hearts rejoice in Him, since we trust in His holy name.

May Your loving devotion rest on us, O LORD, even as we hope in You.
A Psalm for Mercy and Help

Psalm 77

I cried out to God; I cried aloud to God to hear me.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; through the night my hands were stretched out without tiring; my soul refused to be comforted.

I remembered You, O God, and I groaned; I mused and my spirit grew faint. Selah

You have kept my eyes from closing; I am too troubled to speak.

I considered the days of old, the years long in the past.

I remembered my song in the night; I mused in my heart, and my spirit inquired:

“Will the Lord reject us forever and never again show favor?

Has His loving devotion ceased forever? Has His promise failed for all generations?

Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has His anger shut off His compassion?” Selah

Then I said, “It is my sorrow that the right hand of the Most High has changed.”

I will remember the works of the LORD; yes, I will remember Your wonders of old.

I will reflect on all You have done and ponder Your mighty deeds.

Your way, O God, is holy. What god is so great as our God?

You are the God who works wonders; You display Your strength among the peoples.

With power You redeemed Your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah

The waters saw You, O God; the waters saw You and swirled; even the depths were shaken.

The clouds poured down water; the skies resounded with thunder; Your arrows flashed back and forth.

The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; Your lightning lit up the world; the earth trembled and quaked.

Your path led through the sea, Your way through the mighty waters, but Your footprints were not to be found.

You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Brief Prayer

Lord, thank You that my weakness is not the end of my story.
Teach me to lean on Your strength when mine is gone.

Show me that Your grace is enough in every trial.
Fill me with humility to depend fully on You.

Turn my weakness into a testimony of Your power.
When I feel inadequate, remind me of Your sufficiency.
Let my life reveal Your strength working through me.
Amen.
