Your past is wiped clean. Walk in the lightness of grace. If you’re in Christ, your sins are forgiven. The record is cleared. The weight is gone.
Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
A Psalm of Praise and Thanks
Psalm 95
For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him. The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land.
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.
Today, if only you would hear His voice: “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness, where your ancestors tested Me; they tried Me, though they had seen what I did.
For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known My ways.’ So I declared on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’”
A Psalm for Mercy and Help
Psalm 79
They have poured out their blood like water all around Jerusalem, and there is no one to bury them. We have become a reproach to our neighbors, a mockery and derision to those around us.
How long, O LORD? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire? Pour out Your wrath on the nations that do not know You, and on the kingdoms that do not call on Your name.
For they have devoured Jacob and devastated his homeland. Do not hold against us the iniquities of our fathers; may Your tender mercies quickly meet us, for we are brought very low.
Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; deliver us and atone for our sins for the sake of Your name. Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Before our eyes, let Your vengeance for the shed blood of Your servants be known among the nations.
May the groans of the prisoners come before You; by the greatness of Your arm preserve those condemned to death. Pay back into the laps of our neighbors sevenfold the reproach they have hurled at You, O Lord.
Then we Your people, the sheep of Your pasture, will thank You forever; from generation to generation we will declare Your praise.
Brief Prayer
Father, thank You that my sins are removed as far as the east is from the west.
Lift the weight of guilt that tries to return to my heart.
Help me to fully believe that I am forgiven by Your grace.
Teach me to live without fear of condemnation.
Fill me with joy in the freedom of being Your child.
When the enemy accuses, let me stand on Your promises.
Keep me rooted in the truth of Your complete forgiveness.
Amen.
