He Heals the Brokenhearted

Hi, Friend!

No wound is too deep for God. Healing is possible—and promised. He is near to the brokenhearted and faithful to heal.

Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

A Psalm of Praise and Thanks

Psalm 147

Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for He is gracious, and a song of praise is fitting. The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the exiles of Israel.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars; He calls them each by name.

Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit. The LORD sustains the humble, but casts the wicked to the ground.

Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music on the harp to our God, who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the hills.

He provides food for the animals, and for the young ravens when they call. He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the leg of a man.

The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His loving devotion. Exalt the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion!

For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed the children within you. He makes peace at your borders; He fills you with the finest wheat.

He sends His command to the earth; His word runs swiftly. He spreads the snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes.

He casts forth His hail like pebbles. Who can withstand His icy blast?

He sends forth His word and melts them; He unleashes His winds, and the waters flow. He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and judgments to Israel.

He has done this for no other nation; they do not know His judgments. Hallelujah!
A Psalm for Mercy and Help

Psalm 6

O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, or discipline me in Your wrath. Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am fading; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are trembling.

My soul is deeply dismayed. How long, O LORD, how long? Turn, O LORD, and deliver my soul; save me because of Your loving devotion.

For there is no mention of You in death; who can praise You from Sheol? I am weary from groaning; all night I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.

My eyes fail from grief; they grow dim because of all my foes. Depart from me, all you evildoers, for the LORD has heard my weeping.

The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer. All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back in sudden disgrace.
Brief Prayer

Father, thank You that no wound is too deep for Your love.
You bind up the broken places of my life with tenderness.

Comfort me when sorrow feels overwhelming.
Remind me that You are near to the crushed in spirit.

Heal me from pain that lingers unseen by others.
Restore joy where despair has taken root.

Let my scars become a testimony of Your healing power.
Amen.
