Set Your Mind on Things Above

Hi, Friend!

Your focus shapes your freedom. Fix your mind on heaven’s truth today—not your fear or past.

Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

A Psalm of Praise and Thanks

Psalm 113

Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD; praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD now and forevermore.

From the rising of the sun to its setting, let the name of the LORD be praised. The LORD is exalted over all the nations, His glory above the heavens.

Who is like the LORD our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap, to seat them with princes, with the princes of His people.

He settles the barren woman in her home as a joyful mother to her children. Praise the LORD!
A Psalm for Mercy and Help

Psalm 119:131-160

I open my mouth and pant, longing for Your commandments. Turn to me and have mercy, as is Your custom toward those who love Your name.

Direct my footsteps according to Your word; let no sin rule over me. Redeem me from the oppression of man, that I may keep Your precepts.

Make Your face shine upon Your servant, and teach me Your statutes. Streams of tears flow from my eyes, for Your law is not obeyed.

Righteous are You, O LORD, and upright are Your judgments. You have laid down Your testimonies in righteousness and in perfect faithfulness.

My zeal wears me out, for my enemies ignore Your words. Your promise is thoroughly tested, and Your servant loves it.

I am lowly and despised, but I do not forget Your precepts. Your righteousness is everlasting, and Your law is true.

Trouble and distress have found me, but Your commandments are my delight. Your testimonies are righteous forever; give me understanding that I may live.

I call with all my heart; answer me, O LORD! I will keep Your statutes. I call to You; save me, that I may keep Your testimonies.

I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in Your word. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on Your promise.

Hear my voice in accordance with Your loving devotion; O LORD, revive me according to Your justice. The pursuers of wickedness are near; they are far from Your law.

You are near, O LORD, and all Your commandments are true. Long ago I learned from Your testimonies that You have established them forever.

Consider my affliction and rescue me, for I have not forgotten Your law. Champion my cause and redeem me; revive me according to Your promise.

Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek Your statutes. Great are Your compassions, O LORD; revive me according to Your judgments.

Many are my persecutors and foes, yet I do not turn from Your testimonies. I look on the treacherous with loathing, for they do not keep Your word.

Consider how I love Your precepts; O LORD, revive me according to Your loving devotion. The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever.
Brief Prayer

Lord, lift my thoughts above the worries of this world.
Help me focus on what is eternal, not what fades away.

Guard my mind from distractions that steal my peace.
Fill my thoughts with Your truth and promises.

Teach me to see every challenge through the lens of heaven.
Let Your Word be the anchor for my heart and mind.

Keep me steady as I fix my gaze on You.
Amen.
