Speak Life Over Yourself

Hi, Friend!

Words matter—start declaring who God says you are. Let your words match God’s truth, not the enemy’s lies.

Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

A Psalm of Praise and Thanks

Psalm 19

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.

They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.

In the heavens He has pitched a tent for the sun. It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.

It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth. The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul.

The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart.

The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever.

The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.

By them Your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward. But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.

Keep Your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression.

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
A Psalm for Mercy and Help

Psalm 31:1-19

In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in Your righteousness. Incline Your ear to me; come quickly to my rescue.

Be my rock of refuge, a stronghold of safety to save me. For You are my rock and my fortress; for the sake of Your name, lead me and guide me.

Pull me out of the net they have hidden for me, for You are my refuge. Into Your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, O LORD, the God of truth.

I hate those who cling to worthless idols, but I trust in the LORD. I will rejoice and be glad in Your loving devotion, for You have seen my affliction; You have known the distress of my soul.

You have not handed me over to the enemy, but have set my feet in a spacious place. Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress; my eyes fail from grief, my soul and body as well.

For my life is consumed with sorrow and my years with groaning; my strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones wither away. Because of all my adversaries, I am a reproach to my neighbors and an object of dread to my friends.

Those who see me on the street flee from me. I am forgotten like a dead man, out of mind; I am like a broken vessel.

For I hear the slander of many; terror is on every side. They conspire against me and plot to take my life.

But I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies and from those who pursue me.

Make Your face shine on Your servant; save me in Your loving devotion. Let me not be put to shame, O LORD, for I have called upon You.

Let the wicked be put to shame; let them lie silent in Sheol. Let lying lips be silenced—lips that speak with pride and contempt against the righteous.

How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, and which You bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in You!
Brief Prayer

Lord, teach me to speak words that align with Your truth.
Silence the lies that echo in my mind and heart.

Help me to declare blessings where I once spoke defeat.
Fill my mouth with praise instead of complaint.

Let Your promises be the foundation of my words.
Use my tongue to bring life, not destruction.

May my speech reflect the new life I have in You.
Amen.
