Create in Me a Clean Heart

Hi, Friend!

Ask God to restore what was lost. His mercy is deep and renewing. This is a day to ask God for deep renewal — not just a clean slate, but a new heart.

Our Father (The Lord’s Prayer)

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

A Psalm of Praise and Thanks

Psalm 30

I will exalt You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up and have not allowed my enemies to gloat over me.

O LORD my God, I cried out to You for help, and You healed me. O LORD, You brought my soul up from Sheol; You spared me from going down into the Pit.

Sing praises to the LORD, O you His saints, and give thanks to His holy name. For His anger is fleeting, but His favor lasts a lifetime.

Weeping may stay the night, but joy comes in the morning.

In my prosperity I said, “I will never be shaken.” O LORD, You favored me; You made my mountain stand strong.

When You hid Your face, I was dismayed. To You, O LORD, I called, and to the Lord I appealed for mercy:

“What gain is there in my blood if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it proclaim Your faithfulness?

Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me; O LORD, be my helper.”

You turned my wailing into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing Your praises and not be silent.

O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
A Psalm for Mercy and Help

Psalm 59

Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; protect me from those who rise up against me. Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men.

See how they lie in wait for me! Fierce men conspire against me for no fault or sin of mine, O LORD. I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack.

Awake to help me, and take notice. O LORD God of Hosts, the God of Israel, awake to punish all the nations; show no mercy to wicked traitors. Selah

They return at evening, snarling like dogs and prowling around the city. See what they spew from their mouths—swords are on their lips. “For who can hear us?” they say.

But You, O LORD, laugh at them; You scoff at all the nations. O my Strength, I watch for You; for God is my stronghold.

My God of loving devotion will come to meet me; God will let me look in triumph on my enemies. Do not kill them, or my people will forget.

Scatter them by Your power and bring them down, O Lord, our shield. For the sin of their mouths and the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride.

For the curses and lies they utter, consume them in wrath; consume them until they are no more, so it may be known to the ends of the earth that God rules over Jacob! Selah

They return at evening, snarling like dogs and prowling around the city. They scavenge for food and growl if they are not satisfied.

But I will sing of Your strength and will joyfully proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning. For You have been my stronghold, my refuge in the day of my distress.

O my Strength, I will sing praises to You; for God is my stronghold, my God of loving devotion.
Brief Prayer

Lord, I confess the sin and burdens I carry within me.
I need the cleansing power only You can bring.

Wash me, and make me whiter than snow.
Take away the guilt that weighs me down.
Breathe new life into my spirit and restore my joy.

Help me to walk in holiness, with my eyes fixed on You.
Thank You for Your mercy that never runs dry.
Amen.
